"textContent": "P&O Cruises said travel agents have accounted for 45% of bookings for its Ceremonies Sea & Shore program since its 2025 launch, as one Hays Travel consultant prepares to marry aboard her namesake ship. Iona Ginn is scheduled to hold her ceremony aboard Iona on September 12, 2027, during a weeklong Norwegian fjords sailing.\n\nCeremonies Sea & Shore is now offered across all seven ships in P&O’s fleet. Ginn’s ceremony is planned for a sea day before Iona reaches Stavanger, Norway.\n\n## Travel agents drive ceremony demand\n\nRuth Venn, P&O Cruises’ associate vice president of sales and distribution, said the line was “delighted” that Ginn had selected the ship that shares her name.\n\nTravel agency partners have been “instrumental in the huge popularity” of Ceremonies Sea & Shore, Venn said, with the trade channel responsible for 45% of bookings since the product was introduced in 2025.\n\n“The fact we share a name is a winning point and it feels like it was meant to be,” Ginn said.\n\nGinn also pointed to package inclusions, citing cake, flowers, hair and make-up as included elements. The cruise format also allows the wedding party to combine the ceremony with a full sailing, with guests staying onboard through the Norwegian fjords itinerary.\n\n## P&O expands at-sea and shore options\n\nP&O’s ceremonies offer includes commitment ceremonies, engagements and renewal of vows across its fleet. At-sea ceremonies are available on cruises of five nights or longer. All are scheduled on sea days.\n\nPublished starting prices for the program begin at £399 for engagements and £999 for renewal of vows at sea. The “Just the Two of Us” option starts at £2,700, while Ceremonies at Sea starts at £3,200 and Ceremonies on Shore starts at £4,999.\n\nThe program also includes shore-based ceremonies in Barbados, with beach and garden settings among the options listed for the island. The first onshore Barbados ceremony is planned for early 2027.",
