Ohio lawmakers added a major voting change to a bill originally meant to help homeless residents get free IDs

Republican lawmakers were set to consider changes Wednesday that would require voters to show a driver’s license or state ID in order to cast an absentee ballot, not just for in-person voting as required under current law.
