Lorain County commissioners renew homestead tax exemption, reject owner-occupied credit

Commissioners unanimously approved renewing the county’s permissive “piggyback” Homestead Exemption for tax year 2026 but voted 2-1 against extending a 2.5% owner-occupied property tax exemption.
