Michael Scipione takes ceremonial oath as Lyndhurst’s new police chief

Michael Scipione, who has been serving as head of the Lyndhurst Police Department Detective Bureau, took a ceremonial oath of office as the new LPD chief during City Council's meeting Monday. Scipone takes over from former chief Patrick Rhode, who retired May 22 after seven years leading the department.
