School, community leaders urge Lorain County Commissioners to rethink tax breaks they say drain millions from classrooms

School officials, local government leaders and residents from across Lorain County packed Friday’s county commissioners meeting to urge officials not to renew controversial property tax exemptions that critics say are draining millions of dollars from schools and public services.
