📊 blogs.social Weekly Stats Wrap-Up — May 29, 2026
Happy Friday, friends! ☕ Time for our weekly peek under the hood at how the blogs.social universe is humming along. Let's dig in.
Claude Opus 4.6 helped write this post with stats from https://blogs.social/stats
The Big Numbers
We're sitting at 5.8K total authors across the platform — 1.8K standard.site document authors and a healthy 4.0K joining the party via BridgyFed. Federation is doing its thing, and we love to see it.
(Quick terminology note: when the stats dashboard says "Native," it's referring to authors with standard.site documents on the network — blogs that exist as AT Protocol records, whether or not they've gone through domain verification. BridgyFed authors are blogs from the wider fediverse being bridged in. We will think of a better name though I'm not sure "unverified" is right)
On the content side? 2.7 million posts. Two-point-seven million. That's a whole lot of words shipped into the atmosphere. 🚀
This Week's Activity
The weekly active author count landed at 3.9K for the rolling 7-day window. Here's how it breaks down:
• 📝 standard.site authors — 885 active this week (+3% WoW). Steady growth.
• 🌐 BridgyFed authors — 3.0K active, dipping slightly (-2% WoW). Normal fluctuation.
• ✅ Verified authors — 200 active, up a whopping +32% WoW. The verification story keeps getting better.
Overall author growth is flat at -1% WoW — but the composition is shifting in an interesting direction with verified authors surging.
Yesterday's Snapshot
Just yesterday we had 2.3K active authors pushing out 25.0K posts — that's roughly 10.9 posts per author.
• 📝 standard.site: 323 authors / 2.4K posts
• 🌐 BridgyFed: 2.0K authors / 22.6K posts
• ✅ Verified: 54 authors / 72 posts
🏆 Top Verified Publishers This Week
Here's who's actually been shipping content with a verified domain this week:
1. 🥇 dailyintheword.blog — ~39 posts
2. 🥈 linh.leaflet.pub — ~18 posts
3. 🥉 mafis242.de — ~10 posts
4. mineinmono.blog — ~9 posts
5. haiku.leaflet.pub — ~8 posts
6. ichihito-ohi.pckt.blog — ~6 posts
7. johnbeales.com — ~5 posts
8. jeanruaud.leaflet.pub — ~4 posts
9. volcano-papers.offprint.app — ~3 posts
Verification Check-In
The overall verification rate sits at 0.3% — here's how it breaks down:
• ✅ 8.1K posts from standard.site verified authors
• ❌ 2.4M posts unverified
• ⏳ 287.1K posts from authors we haven't checked yet
There's a big backlog in that "unchecked" bucket. Room to grow here for sure.
30-Day Trends
The May 1–3 BridgyFed onboarding wave is still visible in the charts. We started indexing and backloaded a lot. Since then, we've settled into a healthy baseline of 50–100 new authors per day with daily post volumes hovering between 20K–26K. WAA has been rock-steady between 3,500–4,000 for the full 30-day window. Stable and sustainable.
When Are You All Publishing?
The hourly heatmap shows clear patterns this week:
• 🔥 Wednesday through Saturday, 14:00–20:00 UTC is the hot zone — this is when the most content is being published across the network.
• Weekday afternoons (Mon–Fri) show consistent activity, with the intensity building as the week progresses.
• Sunday and early mornings are the quietest slots.
Late afternoon UTC is your sweet spot. ⏰
Top Federated Domains
The most active publisher sites flowing through the standardverse this week:
1. shima.donmai.us — ~3,500 posts (the booru sites stay busy)
2. sukebei.nyaa.si — ~750 posts
3. betabooru.donmai.us — ~750 posts
4. oglobo.globo.com — ~750 posts
5. rlsbb.ru — ~730 posts
The open web continues to be… exactly what it says on the tin. Anime imageboards, Brazilian news, and everything in between. 🤷
Language Breakdown
The community stays beautifully global. English leads at ~40%, but we're seeing strong representation across:
🇯🇵 Japanese (~10%) · 🇧🇷 Portuguese (~10%) · 🏴 Scots (~8%) · 🇩🇪 German (~8%) · 🇪🇸 Spanish (~8%) · 🇫🇷 French (~6%) · 🇮🇹 Italian (~4%) · 🇷🇺 Russian (~3%)
...plus Galician, Hungarian, Indonesian, and more. The standardverse doesn't have borders. 🌍
🔧 Under the Hood
One quick note for the technically curious: this week we shipped a fix to how the stats dashboard calculates activity metrics. Previously, we were using ingestion time (when a post hit our system) rather than publication date (when the article was actually written). That meant archive backfills — like a site importing their entire 750-post catalog at once — would spike the weekly charts. We now use the article's actual published_at date with a safe fallback, matching the pattern already used in our convergence ranking. The numbers you see above reflect this fix. 📐
TL;DR
• 👥 Weekly Active Authors — 3.9K (-1% WoW)
• 📝 standard.site Active — 885 (+3%)
• ✅ Verified Active — 200 (+32% 🔥)
• 📬 Yesterday's Posts — 25.0K (10.9/author)
• 📄 Total Posts — 2.7M
• 👥 Total Authors — 5.8K
• 🔍 Verification Rate — 0.3%
• 🏆 Top Verified — dailyintheword.blog (39 posts)
The verified author surge continues to be the headline — +32% week-over-week. People are betting on provenance and trust, and on a platform built on AT Protocol, that feels right.
See you next Friday. Keep shipping words. ✌️
