Several academic friends (and people I didn't know\nbefore) have reached out to see if they could \"audit\" COMP4020. I think this is\na super cool idea, and I'm keen to do more than just add them to the LMS; I want\nto think through how we could do this really well.\n\nI'm not going to throw them all in amongst the undergraduates (although tbh I\nreckon that'd be pretty cool too). My plan is to run a separate\n[studio session](/blog/2026/02/20/comp4020-the-core-mechanic/) full of\nacademics. I won't expect them to come to lectures (although they can if they\nwant), but I want some sort of agreement at the start: if my colleagues want\nto audit the course, I ask them to commit to doing the pre-work and coming to\nthe studio sessions to discuss it.\n\nHonestly, if we can pull this off I think _I'll_ learn heaps from this, and I\nhope everyone else will, too.\n\nIf you're an ANU academic and you'd like to learn about Agentic Coding (with\nClaude Code) and _make stuff_ that benefits your teaching and research, then do\nget in touch at [ben.swift@anu.edu.au](mailto:ben.swift@anu.edu.au). The course\nis in S2, so July--October for the main teaching period.\n",
