They were good times.\n\n<Picture\n  file=\"posts/great-wall-of-china-2018.webp\"\n  alt=\"a bunch of students\nand I at the Great Wall of China in Dec. 2018\"\n/>\n\nHowever, the\n[New Colombo Plan](https://dfat.gov.au/people-to-people/new-colombo-plan/about/Pages/about.aspx)\ngrant (which provided the money for us to provide the travel & accommodation\nscholarships for the study tour) expired last year---it was only a 3-year thing.\nAs a result, the BIT trip is not running this year (Summer '19/20). It _might_\nhappen in future years (if we get more grant funding) but I'm afraid I can't be\ncertain about that.\n\nIf you're interested in \"study abroad\" opportunities more generally then the\nnice folks at\n[ANU Global Programs](https://www.anu.edu.au/students/careers-opportunities/global-programs)\nare the best people to talk to.\n",
