South Asian Digital History

A curated, open-source collection of web resources exploring two intertwined threads: the history of digital technologies in South Asia, and the digitisation of South Asian cultural and historical artefacts. The collection is maintained as an "awesome list" on GitHub. This project grows out of a persistent interest in how the digital has been adopted, adapted, and resisted across the subcontinent- and how archival and cultural materials are being made accessible (or not) through digitisation efforts. The collection serves as a living bibliography for researchers working at the intersection of digital humanities and South Asian studies. Browse the collection
