Opinion: A Superfund redux could save Ross Island and ratepayers

There is a better alternative to the current plan for cleaning up the Portland Harbor Superfund site, the authors write. Rather than ship 200,000 truckloads of sediment to various landfills, using some of the non-hazardous sediment to help fill in the Ross Island lagoon would help address two longstanding environmental challenges.
