"textContent": "Read this with Sam over the course of a few evenings after everyone seemed to get Wuthering Heights fever over the recent film. I heard the film was not that great. The overriding impression I got from the book was of how nearly everyone was pretty much totally unreasonable for the whole of the weirdly-paced narrative. I’m gonna come out and say it: I don’t like that old Cathy died halfway through. The second half of the book should have been a sequel or something. Young Cathy was good and Linton was a little Joffrey. Which is to say was good. What happened here? Was this really a few hundred pages of people moaning and pouring their souls out in front of fireplaces? The part at the end where what’s his nuts walks in and Young Cathy and Hareton are sitting together learning to read and she’s got her arm around him warmed my heart, though. Best part of the book that.I feel a bit heretical ranking it 3/5 stars — that's just my rating, I know that this is widely regarded as one of the best novels in the English language.I didn’t mind that everyone had the same four names.",
