Three levels of switching what the currently active desktop application is:Normal people: navigate over to the Dock or the taskbar or whatever and click the icon of the app that they want to switch toMaybe also normal people: Cmd+Tab through the list of currently open applications to the one they want to switch toPeople who have Alfred or Raycast installed: Cmd+Space → start typing the name of the app → EnterA fourth level of switching what the currently active desktop application is:People who have Raycast or some other arbitrary hotkey-assigning app installed: map individual apps to Cmd+[digit].Cmd+1 is my web browser, Cmd+2 is iTerm, Cmd+3 is VS Code, etc. It saves nearly no time at all but makes me feel like a real power user, especially when I'm sharing my screen to try and explain a bug, which inevitably I have introduced, to a coworker.
