"description": "I'll forever remain nostalgic for 90s/2000s movies given that those were pretty formative years for me and movies are always a nice escape. Rich asshole is a rich asshole, presumably because he got lucky (and/or was privileged to begin with), thinks that means he's good at everything (he's not) and gets people he throws money at killed by trying to prove to the world that he is good at everything (he's not). It's a movie plot and a lived reality. Who cares that you're into MMA? Why are you paying people to play video games for you? Why are we trying to go to a dusty planet that can't sustain life? If Elliot Vaughn were real he'd be bending the knee and building a bunker in New Zealand while trying to extend his own life so he could inflict sociopathy disguised as hubris on the world. Anyways. This movie did absolutely nothing to assuage my crippling fear of heights. It was great seeing Ben Mendelsohn in a relatively light-hearted role after the more dramatic stuff he's done (and excelled at) recently.",
