Venom is juvenile — sometimes to a fault, but it's not unbearably serious to the point that it stops being fun . I've got nostalgia for the old Spiderman movies that Sony made and the common tone and aesthetic carries through to Venom , dragging some of that nostalgia along with it. It's kind of a romantic comedy? There are angles there. Use a kiss to transfer the symbiote (with tongue?). The villain is also a reckless tech asshole with a rocket company and delusions of grandeur. Some things are timeless. So many snacks, so little time.",
