"description": "Cucumber, Cucumber, Cucumber! New Marvel movies are at their best when they're irreverent and self-deprecating. They were novel initially, slowly came more polished after Disney acquired the rights to the whole universe and now we've reached a point where much of what made them interesting has been sanded away. The same is true of the Marvel streaming series. I'll still watch them because they can be entertaining but I've stopped expecting them to be good . Guardians of the Galaxy exhibited the same lack of self-seriousness that makes Thunderbolts so fun. A lot of these characters are cinematic blank slates as well (Bucky and, I suppose, Yelena). Louis-Dreyfus nails the tone of the incompetent yet sinister villain, David Harbour fucking shines as Alexei and, well, there's Bob. Hell, I couldn't even place Wyatt Russell, but I'm never disappointed when he's on screen. The guy is reliable. He's got famous parents but he's committed and he's reliable. Depressed, ragtag, unrelenting (too foolish to stop trying?). These are the new Avengers. These should be the new Avengers. : The exceptions being WandaVision and Agatha All Along . : I'm indifferent to Florence Pugh, I feel like that lack of an opinion or interest isn't widely shared.",
