"description": "This movie was and wasn't necessary and was barely fun and not good. It was necessary inasmuch as Halloween Kills didn't settle what happened to Michael. I suppose it could have, but I guess that leaves that list bit of money they could squeeze out of this franchise on the table. The plot threaded through the movie with the Corey character felt threadbare, but it also allowed them to introduce a weakened and, ultimately, vulnerable state. There's some family drama instigated between Laurie and Allyson by virtue of the latter's relationship with Corey which, again, was pretty unconvincing. Their meeting was instigated by Laurie and the way they fell in together didn't line up with the commitment the two demonstrated to each other. It all ends with Michale dying and being disposed of in a rather gruesome town-sanctioned ceremony. The violent end was fitting but altogether anticlimactic. It happened because it had to, not because it was well written or creatively told. : And not just because his name is misspelled.",
