"description": "🍜🫎👮🏻♀️🛫🗻🔪🛬🚒🚑 Add Topher Grace to the list of folks who never seem to age. Trust, trust, everything comes down to trust. Can you trust Winston to flip and act as a reliable witness? Can you trust the person that booked your private plane? The person flying it? Your boss? Their boss? The person flying any plane? It's nice to think you can and that thought is often the right one, but it's perilous when it's not. You can trust Van Sant, but not Daryl or Coleridge. You can trust Hassan even though he's hitting on you while providing you with guidance and was connected to you buy Van Sant who you weren't sure you could trust but that suspicion means she's dead now. But I guess you can also trust Daryl to try and kill you once you've gotten past his ruse of being the pilot that he actually dismembered and left in their apartment. It all comes down to trust. Know anything about the wilderness? No — get a guide you can trust. Get on a commercial flight piloted by someone you can trust, get surgery performed by a doctor you can trust. Or maybe it's faith — faith in institutions instilled by governance and accountability. Except when you don't have that — and we did have that — do we now? Not so much. Or, maybe for now, but it's sliding downhill into that abyss you like to scream into. Alaska looks beautiful, that plane was concerning before it left the ground and it's remarkable that anyone sauntered away from its return to the ground. (The conclusion to Daryl's story is a darkly funny one.) Ever pictured Mark Wahlberg bald? Now you don't have to! What was that like? Bald cap on top of hair, toupee on that, hat on that. Must've been uncomfortable, but it looked kinda real.",
