"description": "Just meat. Easily the most harrowing rumination on grief and loss I've ever seen. Depraved even. I can't begin to imagine the horror of losing a child. But allowing that horror to warp you to the point that you're willing to sacrifice other children for the hope — the hope — that you can bring yours back using a Russian ritual recorded on a VHS tape is something else entirely. It's tragedy all around. Andy and Piper lose their father, Laura loses her daughter, Oliver is tortured, held captive and forced to play host to the demon Laura hopes will return Cathy to her. This thing cuts deep (much like the knife in Ollie's mouth) and will bite down and tear away a piece of you (much like Ollie does to Laura's arm). The Philippou brothers are now responsible for creating two of the best horror movies in recent memory and I'm frankly terrified at the thought of what they might have in store next. Grapefruit.",
