"description": "I've heard of Family Ties , but I've never watched to and likely never will. But , I have watched Back to the Future and its sequels countless times, having been born a few years after the release of the original. Reading Future Boy and loving Back to the Future does give me some appreciation for Family Ties inasmuch as it played a role in the creation of Back to the Future by informing, guiding and constraining Michael J. Fox's portrayal of Marty McFly. That said, Future Boy is an easy ready filled with anecdotes and trivia I'd never been aware of previously. I had no idea that Michael J. Fox was the second actor to portray Marty McFly, that his stunt double walked on to set and into the position by way of a perfectly timed accident. Nor did I know that his relationship with Christopher Lloyd was cordial, but nowhere near as close as that of their characters. Or that Crispin Glover and Robert Zemeckis butted heads throughout the production. An essential read for all fans of the film (and how could you not be a fan?).",
