We can certainly learn from the German peasant uprising but I'm not sure I took as much away from this book as I would've liked. It's well-written, well-researched and clearly constructed but my own lack of context did it a disservice. I'm not familiar with Christian ritual, theology, history or Martin Luther. A class struggle, a religious struggle and a failed revolt. It was a fine read and one worth getting through if you're interested in the topic and have the proper historical context. It was recommended to me based on the economic underpinnings of the conflict, but it struggled to hold my interest.",
