I just compiled Luanti 5.16.1, and it still works fine on my machine. I can dig all things as usual and the hand ranks increase. I can't reproduce the bug, so I can't really solve it.

No, this was discussed before in four posts, read them. viewtopic.php?p=450405#p450405 Also, it is not "extremely tedious" if you do it right. You (most likely) don't have to try every combination (factorial growth). Typically, you only need log2(number of mods) tries, and the bug is easily testable.

If you have this problem too, feel free to try to debug the mod. It's very small anyway. And if you haven't read it too, Luanti 5.14 is not supported.
