"textContent": "_FOSDEM is a free and non-commercial event organised by the community for the community. The goal is to provide free and open source software developers and communities a place to meet to:\n\nget in touch with other developers and projects;\nbe informed about the latest developments in the free software world;\nbe informed about the latest developments in the open source world;\nattend interesting talks and presentations on various topics by project leaders and committers;\nto promote the development and benefits of free software and open source solutions._\n\nThis event has a ton of developer focus.\n\nI would consider setting up a machine with Luanti running as a window with MTG next to a text editor with a simple mod written and a window that shows the minimal files needed to create the mod.\n\nI wouldnt showcase something too complex, but illustrating just how easy it is to get something up and running, like a custom block would be refreshing. Especially for anyone coming from modding minecraft.\n\nWhen I discovered Luanti, as soon as I saw how easy it was to create something it was super exciting after continually fighting with forge and fabric on mc.\n\nI would also include on a whiteboard, or maybe a flyer or some other way, to show people they can connect to a server with their phone and see themselves on a machine that is playing on the server too. I was blown away by how easy it was to play on my phone with my boy.\n\nStatistics: Posted by Twinsonian — Thu May 14, 2026 11:33\n\n* * *",
