There’s a lot of noise at the moment about companies using artificial intelligence to screen job applicants. We’re told it’s “dehumanising.” That people feel reduced to data points. That something important has been lost. I understand the concern – but I also think it’s worth asking a more uncomfortable question. When exactly did hiring stop being human?
