Project Name: No Rest For The Weary
Location Name: Waystation Diner
Location Type: 24/7 Diner
Mood: Busy, in constant motion except for the few moments of rest between customer rushes. Every time the bell above the door jingles the waitstaff give a cheerful and an in sync & in tune greeting, acknowledging the arrival even before the hostess appears at their stand to properly greet them.
Location Description
The Waystation Diner is open every day of the year at any hour a visitor might want to stop in. They have an ever evolving menu of food and drink items, it is almost a guarantee you will find something that you want while pursuing the menu and if you can't find something that strikes you fancy Emery is always happy to try to whip something custom up to meet your needs.
A seamless blend of inspirational renditions of 1940s American diners and 90s era Japanese Izakaya's.
As you enter the Diner the first thing you will notice is its multi level layout with a quarter of the Diner being sunken into the ground requiring you to step down to be seated at low round tables. The other fourth of the Diner is set up with wide rectangular wooden tables that have a soft vinyl coating that matches the booth seating set around them. Finally half of the Diner is occupied by a shiny chrome bar counter that spans from right behind the hostess stand to the far wall that shows customers a view of vast majority of the kitchen. It has a combination of backless bar stools, barstools with backs and a then empty space meant for people who wish to stand while enjoying their time at the Waystation Diner.
There is a secondary room just beyond view blocked by a slitted curtain that when hanging flat displays a slightly unnerving image of a dragon with a rider either mid-dive or mid free fall.
The Waystation Diner is wide flat building with the barest hint of a second floor and no hint of the massive basement and cold cellar below the building.

Juniper "Juney" & Emery Whytfield
Despite being legally married by most standard Juney and Emery Whytfields relationship is very much "not like that". And not in the sense of they're simply in a platonic relationship, no they're not even in that. They are in fact enemies turned co-dependent life partners. If they could live without the other they would live without the other however that is not an option. And trust them they've looked and tried. At this point they are simply resigned to their fate being tied to one another.
