Emiru, real name Emily Beth Schunk, is an American Twitch streamer, YouTuber and cosplayer known for her gaming content. She began streaming League of Legends in late 2015, becoming so popular that she inspired the design of the game's character Gwen. In 2020, she joined the content creation organization Cloud9 and grew her following significantly over the next few years. In 2022, she left Cloud9 and joined One True King (OTK), becoming a co-owner of the organization in 2023. By 2025, she was one of the top 50 overall Twitch streamers and was the most-watched female Twitch streamer in early 2026.
In March 2025, a clip of streamers Emiru, Valkyrae and Cinna getting threatened by a man while IRL streaming went viral. Later that year, Emiru was assaulted at TwitchCon, becoming a massive online controversy and sparking questions about the event's handling of the incident. That same month, Emiru accused her ex-boyfriend, streamer Mizkif, of abuse, resulting in Mizkif filing a defamation lawsuit against Emiru.
In February 2026, Emiru was accused of being racist for initially refusing to comment on controversy surrounding U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Emiru later apologized and cleared up her stance. She was also criticized for her friendship with controversial streamer Asmongold, a supporter of ICE.
