What is the best money you spent in April?

It finally feels safe to say that we’ve made it through the winter and are officially entering springtime: The sun is out, the temperature is a little warmer, and my seasonal allergies have never been worse. You’ve got to love New York in the spring!

April was a busy month, and a lot of my spending reflected that. The good news is that my household’s grocery spend for the past few weeks is very low; the bad news is we were eating out quite a bit more. I will be reimbursed for some of that, but this month I’m looking forward to a few more home-cooked meals.

The best money I spent in April is the $184 for a pair of new-to-me lamps. They fit our space so well and add a lot of personality, and I’m pleased I found them secondhand on eBay.
