Chikungunya in French Guiana: Marked increase in cases in past week

In a follow-up on the chikungunya outbreak in the South American country of French Guiana, since the detection of the first confirmed case of chikungunya in late January, 143 cases have been confirmed in French Guiana, 115 of which occurred in the West Coastal sector (80%).
