Chicago invasive meningococcal disease update

In a follow-up on the cluster of Invasive Meningococcal Disease (IMD) caused by Neisseria meningitidis infection, the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) now reports ten cases in adults with ages ranging from their 30s to 80s (median: 67 years) have been reported since January 15, 2026.
