  "textContent": "I’ve been reading __Hack/Slash__ lately. I enjoy the campy, B horror feel although the artwork is all over the place. I wish Tim Seely would just do it all.\n\nI’ve also picked back up __Bad Luck and Trouble__ , the Jack Reacher book that season two of the Amazon series was based on. As usual, it’s a fantastic, addictive read.\n\n* * *\n\nWe are three months into the new year and I’ve yet to finish a recently made movie. I turned off two within fifteen minutes (the new __Fantastic Four__ and __Predator__) because I am over everything looking like a video game.\n\nInstead I’ve been indulging in a ton of old movies on Tubi. I’ve been catching up on films I remember from the video store that I never rented like __Trancers__ and watching old movies I saw once like __Black Dog__ starring Patrick Swayze and I’m having an absolute blast.\n\nI was beginning to think my love of movies was over but now I realize I was just watching the wrong movies. I haven’t been overly thrilled with movies the past 10-15 years, and that’s okay. Maybe a lot of new movies just aren’t for me anymore. I prefer practical effects and movies they don’t try to rope in trauma into everything. I want my movies to be fun and Hollywood doesn’t prioritize fun these days.\n\n* * *\n\nI’m cautiously optimistic that this big __Firefly__ reveal this weekend will be something worthwhile. Personally I’m hoping for an animated show or movie.\n\n* * *\n\nI finally got around to checking out the first level of __Pennys Big Breakaway__ and have fallen in love with both the gameplay and the music. It’s reminiscent of a 3D Mario title with a bit of Sonic thrown in. I’m not sure I love the man character design but that’s easily overlooked when the game is so good.\n\nI’ve also been playing some __Mad Max__ again. I don’t know how many hours I’ve logged but it’s a ton. It’s rare for me to try and 100% a game but I just enjoy driving around and living the shit out of bad guys.\n\n* * *\n\nMy domain name is up for renewal and I wasn’t really sure what I was gonna do with it, but I decided to pay for another year.
