Fatal Flaw

My partner once said "And is that the only path to reach your goal?"

I believed there were more than one, but I felt I couldn't risk trodding off the known path and falling behind.

But I've started to surrender.

I spend most of my days resting / doing nothing --(post-capitalism tasks)

And somehow the path forward has never been more clear.

There's no more timelines I'm trying to hit. No climax event to prove I've found the right path. There isn't even a right path.

It's as if Patience is finding me. It is not a core tenet of my soul, but I've met and found a way to befriend it in my own way.

Is there a point to a duel if the outcome is already known?
