(Luna-III) Fischl's Saints and Dottore's sacred spirits
In Luna-III, Fischl says in her Witch's Homework quest
It matters not. Though the Saint of Tears and Saint of Atonement perform manifold labors on divergent principles, their power flows but from a single source.
The Saints should be a veiled reference to the elemental dragons.
Then in Luna-IV's main story, Dottore says this:
The creation of a world is the ultimate scientific experiment. I have taken my research to the highest level, where I shall be not just a god, but also a servant to many sacred spirits. I shall heed the truth and perform holy deeds.
This strikes me as odd since he's characterized by hubris and narcissism, and has now reached godhood, yet he speaks about being a servant.
I want to see if the "sacred spirits" and "holy deeds" here might relate to Fischl's "Saints".
In (Simplified) Chinese, Fischl's line is:
It matters not. Though the Saint of Tears and Saint of Atonement perform manifold labors on divergent principles, their power flows but from a single source. 无妨。「垂泪的圣徒」与「赎罪的圣徒」纵使所行之道义不同,力量却是同源。
So we've got 圣徒 (lit. saint).
And Dottore has:
The creation of a world is the ultimate scientific experiment. I have taken my research to the highest level, where I shall be not just a god, but also a servant to many sacred spirits. I shall heed the truth and perform holy deeds. 创造世界是最高等级的实验。我将我的研究拔高至此,在那里,我既是神,也是诸多圣灵的奴仆,我聆听真理,践行圣举。
Where we've got 圣灵 (which really is lit. sacred spirit, but is also used to refer to the Holy Spirit) and 圣举.
That's good enough for me; Dottore really does talk about the sacred and holy here. I guess Dottore's either a fan of Flowers for Princess Fischl, or the dragons are actually sacred (or regarded as such by someone?) and Mr. Nine preserved that in Flowers.
I just feel like the gods and Archons of Teyvat haven't really been associated with holiness or sacred deeds previously (outside of maybe the canon of the Church of Barbatos). Maybe we'll find out in 1-3 years?
