SilverBullet
SilverBullet is what I use to edit and make the most use out of the [[index|spacious nexus]].
I have SilverBullet hosted on a VPS. I have some private notes or unstaged changes, so my space is the single source of truth. Its git repository tends to be a more curated view of the space.
I have a page set as my default tab. It’s not displayed on the website; I excluded it from publishing as it generally doesn’t make sense for it to be there. But it is just a new tab page, it includes the links to my frequently used websites and some actions. Since I can edit it at any time with little effort, I often keep some small notes or tasks. I believe doing this helps encourage creating, editing or looking back at notes.
Then, I selectively publish documents to notes.bunnynabbit.com using [[Quartz]]. I thought about using SilverBullet itself for publishing, but it really isn’t designed for that and would involve a more convoluted setup.
Why I use it
I discovered SilverBullet and Quartz from notes.runtimeterror.dev and started keeping notes.
I did use [[Obsidian]] before, but I didn’t really get along with it well. Though, I’d recommend Obsidian to folks thinking about keeping notes.
