Special keys being accessible without mode switching is also neat. *CleverKeys* is an interesting fork in concept, but I found swiping to be a poor experience.\n\nI sometimes use *Microsoft SwiftKey*.\n\n- [*Unexpected Keyboard*](https://f-droid.org/packages/juloo.keyboard2/).\n- [*SwiftKey*](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.touchtype.swiftkey) (rarely).\n- [*FlickBoard*](https://f-droid.org/packages/se.nullable.flickboard/).\n- [*k9keyboard*](https://apt.izzysoft.de/fdroid/index/apk/com.shortendesign.k9keyboard).\n\n### Remote desktop\n\nPreviously I used [*Chrome Remote Desktop*](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.chromeremotedesktop). Now I use [*Windows App*](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.rdc.androidx) + *Tailscale*.\n\nThe latest *Chrome Remote Desktop* build is inadequate compared to its previous versions. I highly suggest installing an old APK.\n\n*Steam Link* is alright.\n\n### Theming/home screen\n\nI use [*Microsoft Launcher*](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.launcher). For my icon pack, I use [*Archicons*](https://arcticons.com/).\n\nFor recording small snippets of sound right from the home screen, I use [*Voice Recorder*](https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.fossify.voicerecorder/). I'd like a tile for this, but [*Cryptocam*](https://f-droid.org/packages/com.tnibler.cryptocam/) only provides a method of recording (encrypted) videos from a tile.",
