Walt Disney Imagineering Unveils Storyline Details For “Monstropolis” Land At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Harryhausen’s Restaurant As Part Of The Area.

Monstropolis, a new themed land inspired by Pixar Animation Studio s “Monsters, Inc. ” coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios has revealed additional details on what we can expect in this new land.

The land will revolve around HUMAN Day, a citywide celebration that will bring humans into the world of monsters for the first time. This change has led to what is described within the city as a “historic decision.” For the first time, the leaders are preparing to open the gates between the worlds, inviting humans to experience Monstropolis. To make this new chapter possible, the city has established the Department of Human Relations, a newly formed team dedicated to helping monsters and humans better understand each other and preparing the city for this first historic encounter.

The celebration of HUMAN Day — Humans Understand Monsters Are Nice — serves as the backdrop for visitors’ arrival in the world of monsters. Halfway between a celebration and a cultural exchange, humans are invited to explore Monstropolis, interact with its citizens, and experience the city firsthand, as monsters and humans come together through laughter instead of fear.

Imagineering also revealed that the famous Harryhausen will be part of the land as a brand new restaurant. Will they keep the story bit from “Monsters At Work” that revealed that Mike and Sulley where banned from attending? That remains to be seen…
