“The Sunnyridge 3” Scores Early Second Season Renewal At Disney+ According To Blink Industries During Get Animated Conference UK, 2026.

A new kind of summer weirdness is coming to Disney+ and one season wasn’t enough.

It seems that Disney Branded Television has recently renewed the upcoming mistery-comedy animated series “ The Sunnyridge 3 ” for a second season ahead of it’s premiere. This was mentioned during the Blink Industries panel atGet Animated Conference UK 2026.

The renewal will mark the first time a original Disney Branded Television series gets a second season renewal since “ Kiff ” in 2023. Additionaly last year Xilam Animation CEO Marc du Pontavice would mention that Disney already commissioned scripts for a potential second season for the upcoming Disney+ series “** The Doomies** ”.

Regular Capital (Reporter for Cartoon Network and Warner Bros Animation projects) recently attended the panel where Blink Industries showcased their upcoming projects as well a closer look to the slides showed on the conference.

“We have three series out veeeery soon, Including two seasons of "The Sunnyridge 3****” “ for Disney+, a live-action comedy series Make That Movie created by Sam Campbell- with Channel 4 and Alley Cats an adult animation for Netflix.”

Likely we will find out more information on the series during the Annecy Film Festival where Orion Ross (Disney EMEA Animation CEO), Meredith Roberts (Disney Television Animation CEO, Disney Branded Television SVP of Animation) and **Ayo Davis (Disney Branded Television CEO, Disney Television Animation VP of Development & Current) **will attend.

“The Sunnyridge 3 ” follows a trio of lifelong best friends Rose, Jeru and Wayne which investigate strange goings-on in a uniquely bizarre shopping center on the fringes of suburban London.

Rose, Jeru and Wayne practically grew up at the Sunnyridge Mall, but this summer, the weirdness has gone to a whole new level. With their imaginations running wild, they will chase down any conspiracy theory no matter where it leads. Could it be werewolves, hauntings or an ancient curse? Robots, aliens or renegade AI? The trio will discover that the truth is always stranger than fiction.

“The Sunnyridge 3” is created by newcomers Stevie Gee and Essie May.
