Soft male friendships in kids’ animation still feel surprisingly rare.\nI think a lot about specificity in storytelling, and how “diverse” stories aren’t always about big, sweeping concepts. Sometimes it’s just about exploring emotional dynamics that don’t get a lot of attention through a lens you don’t see through often.
