Annecy 2026: Disney Television Animation And Disney EMEA Animation Return To The Festival With Studio Showcase, The Doomies, Dragon Striker And Cars: Lightning Racers.

Today, the Annecy International Animation Film Festival held the big press conference for its 2026 edition, taking place June 21-27 in the picturesque French town. Organizers revealed the year’s feature film selections, Annecy Presents and Midnight Specials screenings, programming highlights, studio showcases and can’t-miss events at the MIFA market (June 23-26).

At this year’s fest, which runs June 21-27, Disney Television Animation will showcase projects that span both official competition and high-profile festival events with “Cars: Lightning Racers”, “The Doomies” and “Dragon Striker” as well special showcases from Disney Television Animation and Disney EMEA Animation showcasing upcoming projects for both studios.

Disney Television Animation Studio Showcase **-**Tuesday June 22

This year at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Disney+ is once again celebrating the creativity and universal appeal of animation—a cornerstone of The Walt Disney Company’s legacy. The Doomies: “Night of the Dead Fish” - June 21 - June 27

The Doomies has been officially selected for the 2026 edition in the TV and Film category, where the episode “Night of the Dead Fish” will be screened alongside the other selected works.

“The Doomies follows Best friends Bobby and Romy accidentally unleash evil into their sleepy hometown in Brittany. They’re helped in their fight against the creatures of doom by a mysterious teenaged warrior named Kim. In this episode, they take Kim to an arcade in the hopes of teaching her how to be a "real” teenager.

The series will release later this year on Disney+ worldwide

EPs Travis Braun and Frank Montagna , along with supervising director Nathan Chew, will discuss the creative development of the series and the collaboration with Pixar Animation Studios and Disney Television Animation.
