Pixar Animation Studios Working In New “Finding Nemo” Short With Ellen DeGeneres Returning To Voice Dory.

Time to go back to the ocean as Deadline Hollywood has reported that Pixar Animation Studios is heading back to the “ Finding Nemo” universe with a brand new short-film details for the still-untitled short are under wraps and there’s no information available yet as to other creative attachments

The only information is that Ellen DeGeneres would be reprising her role as Dory. This is surprising since she retired from acting in 2024 following several reports of “work abuse” and “bullying” scandals that the comedian had in 2020. Jennifer Hale (Marvel Animation “X-Men ‘97”, Walt Disney Animation Studios “Cinderella”** franchise** ) ended up taking the role of Dory in the Disney+ mini-series “** LEGO Pixar: BrickToons”** which lead speculation that if a new “Nemo” project was made then Hale would be Dory’s new VA. Release plans are also currently to be confirmed as production is just beginning on the short.

During a Reddit AMA with Andrew Stanton to promote his new Searchlight Pictures film “** In the Blink of an Eye** ”, Stanton stated that if a third “ Finding Nemo ” movie was made, he would let someone else to have the director’s chair.
