“Cars: Lightning Racers” Set W.I.P. Session At Annecy Film Festival

** Hey Lightning, you ready? **

Disney Television Animation is coming to the Annecy Film Festival and of their events for the festival is a W.I.P. Session for the upcoming preschool animated series “** Cars: Lightning Racers** ”. It’s the third time a Disney Television Animation series is part of the WIP Session of the festival since “** The Owl House** ” and “ Monsters At Work ” in 2019.

The W.I.P panel will feature series showrunners Travis Braun andFrank Montagna , series director Nathan Chew and story editor Dana Starfield as they will screen an early cut of the series first episode.

“** Cars: Lightning Racers** ” is part of Disney Television Animation’s offers for the Annecy Film Festival. The studio also has some unannounced panels including one showcasing new projects for the 2027-2028 slate as currently the studio has six unannounced series for Disney Channel and Disney+ since November 2024.

Additionaly Disney EMEA Animation’s “** Dragon Strike** r ” and “** The Doomies** ” will be part of the festival.
