“ Toy Story 5” Unveils First Trailer And New Cast Members Joining The Playground.

The toys are back in town! Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Studios have unveiled the first trailer of “Toy Story 5” giving us a closer look to the toys as they face a new threat to playtime “technology” aka “IPad Kids”.

Pixar Animation Studios has unveiled additional cast members for this new adventure as well returning faces

• -Shelby Rabara (Cartoon Network Studios “Steven Universe” franchise)__ as the excitable camera toy Snappy
• -Craig Robinson (Dreamworks Animation “The Bad Guys” franchise) as Atlas, a cheerful talking GPS hippo toy.
• -Scarlett Spears _**(Universal Pictures “Wicked For Good”) **_as the sweet and shy 8-year-old Bonnie Anderson.
• -Mykal-Michelle Harris ( “Ariel”, Walt Disney Studios “Oswald The Lucky Rabbit”)__ as Blaze, an independent 8-year-old girl who loves animals
• -Matty Matheson (FX “The Bear”) as the tech-fearing toy Dr. Nutcase.
• -Tony Hale ( “Inside Out 2”)**** as Forky
• -Jeff Bergman (Warner Bros Animation “The Flintstones” franchise, “Yogi Bear” franchise, “Jellystone!”)__ as Mr. Potato Head
• -Anna Vocino (Dreamworks Animation Television “Kipo And The Age Of Wonderbeasts”)**** as Mrs. Potato Head
• -Melissa Villaseñor (Disney Television Animation “Primos”, “Hoppers”)**** reprises her role as Karen Beverly
• -Annie Potts (Sony Pictures “Ghostbusters” franchise) as Bo Peep
• -Keanu Reeves (Lionsgate “John Wick” franchise)__ as Duke Caboom

After Woody left Bonnie to help abandoned toys find owners, Jessie becomes the leader of Bonnie’s room, with Buzz Lightyear as her second-in-command. However, a now eight-year-old Bonnie has become enamored of her new favorite plaything, a frog-like tablet named Lilypad.

“Toy Story 5” is directed and written by Andrew Stanton ( “Finding Nemo”, WALL-E", “Finding Dory”), McKenna Harris ( “Ciao Alberto”, “Elemental”, Walt Disney Animation Studios “Raya And The Last Dragon”)**** serves as co-writter and co-director with Stanton. Randy Newman returns as songwritter and score composer.

“Toy Story 5” opens in theaters worldwide June 19.
