Disney Branded Television Unveils May Release For “Sofia The First: Royal Magic”.

Disney Branded Television has announced that “Sofia The First: Royal Magic ” an original sequel series to “Sofia The First ” will premiere this May on Disney Jr. and Disney+. The announcement was made as the pilot movie from the original series ‘Sofia the First: Once Upon a Princess ’ will finally stream February 27 on Disney+.

The series follows Sofia as she attends The Charmswell School for Royal Magic, where princes and princesses from across the EverRealm will continue their royal studies and also learn all types of magic.[4] During her time at Charmswell, Sofia discovers she is the most magical princess in the realm and must learn how to master her powers while making new royal friends

Disney Branded Television announced the rest of the cast including some returning faces and new friends with Ariel Winter reprising Sofia Newcomer VAsMela Pietropaolo (“Cocomelon Lane”), Kai Harris (“Paw Patrol”) &Aaliyah Magcasi play Layla, Zane and Camila, respectively, Sofia’s new school friends.

Darcy Rose Byrnes (Nickelodeon Animation Studios “The Legend of Korra”) andJess Harnell (Warner Bros Animation “Animaniacs” franchise) will return as fan-favorite characters Princess Amber and Cedric. Eric Stonestreet ( “Modern Family”), Wayne Brady (“HAMILTON”) and Tim Gunn ( “Project Runway”) are set to return as fan favorites Minimus, Clover and Baileywick alongside previously announced returning members Sara Ramirez (Queen Miranda) and Travis Willingham (King Roland).

One of the newest members for the franchise is Nate Torrence (Walt Disney Animation Studios “Zootopia” franchise) as Pepper, Sofia’s adorable, yet mischievous, pet puppy-unicorn.
