There are in our existence spots of time,That with distinct pre-eminence retainA renovating virtue, whence, depressedBy false opinion and contentious life,Or aught of heavier purpose, which with daily growthDoth subject us to the petty caresOf more intellectual being, our mindsAre nourished and invisibly repaired... — from Book XII of The Prelude by the English Romantic poet William Wordsworth On an infinite timescale, this blog may venture to many places. For now, I plan to recount my thoughts regarding the era known as "The Second Coming of Steve Jobs" as it shaped a great deal of who I am and what I love. Rarely have I seen or heard someone talk about what it felt like to be there, actively watching and absorbing Steve's words and the actions of Apple during that time. I want to share my memories of the moments, why I bought what I did, and discover why I may have missed out on some beloved products. Photo by Samantha Moore (March 2001)
