Life Drawing, May 2026

Been experimenting starting from a mid-tone watercolour wash, allowing me to go straight in with the highlights (gouache.) Outside of life drawing I almost always start from a mid-tone, so its felt a lot more natural. I quite like the effect! I played a little bit before with just having coloured backgrounds, but it didn't compare to the practicality of getting the mid-tone of the skin down first.
