50.000 hits? How?

Before I left Infinity Free for paid hosting, I was able to cause this same problem by making an error in my .htaccess file. When I asked the Google Search AI “Is there anything in this code that could cause 50,000 hits in a short time span?,” it answered yes, told me how it could do so, and recommended a fix that seems to have worked.
