This activates FTP access again.\n\n**Client Area → Hosting Account → Control Panel**\n\nThen wait a minute and try File Manager again.\n\n* * *\n\n#### 2. Reset Hosting Account Password\n\nA common cause is the hosting password being out of sync.\n\n**Do NOT use the password reset inside the control panel.**\n\nInstead:\n\n**Client Area → Hosting Account → Account Settings → Hosting Account Password → Update Password**\n\nAfter updating:\n\n  * Wait 15–30 minutes\n  * Login to Control Panel again\n  * Try File Manager\n\n\n\nThis has solved the exact “Unable to determine directory status” error for many users.\n\n* * *\n\n#### 3.
