"textContent": "If you redownload the image before opening that dialog then everything would be fine.\n\nIf you forget to do so it’ll crash…\n\n* * *\n\nI looked at your screenshot and wanted to add something: It’s not “download” that matters, it’s “OneDrive”. If you just download a ISO then delete it, that file is just gone, Windows will report it as “not found” and VMware will just ask you to pick a different file.\n\nHowever with OneDrive and you used “free up space” (not the same as delete!) Windows will still report the file as “found”, and so VMware will try to read the file to make that little “Windows 11 x64 detected” or something, and that’s what’s crashing the program because to read the file you must download the whole thing back again.",
