I’ve set up Cloudflare for my five custom domains within the hosting account’s website, sandhillcrane.42web.io — but I’m unable to set up Cloudflare for sandhillcrane.42web.io itself as the “Full Guide to Cloudflare” instructs in Step 7.

Cloudflare doesn’t accept that sandhillcrane.42web.io as a valid domain, returning “Please ensure you are providing the root domain and not any subdomains.” I do know how to access the DNS records for sandhillcrane.42web.io

So, how do I set up Cloudflare for sandhillcrane.42web.io ? And, what’s the best code for the .htaccess files for each of my custom domains to enhance security and turn away bots?
