  "textContent": "LAKKI MARWAT: Unknown terrorists attacked the house of a police official with explosives in the Shadikhel area of the Lakki Marwat district, police said on Saturday.\n\nA police official said that terrorists affiliated with _Fitna-al-Khawarij_ had planted an improvised explosive device (IED) at the house of Constable Tehsil Khan.\n\nFitna al Khawarij is a term the state uses for terrorists belonging to the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).\n\nThe police official said the explosion caused significant damage to the structure, including its bedrooms, veranda and washrooms\n\nNo casualties were reported as the occupants were away, staying with relatives at the time of the incident, the official added.\n\nHe further said a heavy police contingent reached the site after the blast and launched a search operation in the area.\n\nA day earlier, a policeman was martyred during an intense exchange of fire with militants after an attack on a police post in the remote Shadikhel area of the district.\n\nAccording to officials, the attackers used both light and heavy weapons in an apparent attempt to overrun the facility.\n\nOver the last few months, several areas of KP, including Bannu, Peshawar, Karak, Lakki Marwat and Bajaur, have witnessed a series of terrorist attacks on police personnel.\n\nEarlier this month, at least five policemen, including an officer, were injured in an explosion in the Shahbazkhel town in Lakki Marwat.",
