  "textContent": "Social media platform X was down for thousands of users in the United States, the United Kingdom and other parts of the world on Monday, according to Downdetector.\n\nThere were more than 23,210 reports of issues with X as of 8:24 am ET, according to Downdetector, which tracks outages by collating status reports from a number of sources.\n\nDowndetector also showed that there were 254 reports of issues in Pakistan at 6:42pm.\n\nX did not immediately respond to a request for comment on what caused the outage.\n\nThe actual number of affected users may differ from what’s shown on Downdetector because these reports are user-submitted.\n\nLast month, the social media platform had faced issues twice, on Jan 13 and Jan 16, with the outages affecting thousands of users globally.",
