"textContent": "Noreen Khanum, sister of the incarcerated PTI founder Imran Khan, said the former prime minister’s vision had improved and the swelling around his eye had decreased, citing an initial medical report.\n\nOn February 12, Imran _claimed_that his right eye had only 15 per cent vision remaining, following which the Supreme Court (SC) ordered the formation of a medical team to examine him. It was ordered that the eye examination be conducted before February 16 (Monday).\n\nOn Sunday, a team of doctors examined Imran at Adiala Jail and left the premises after around an hour, sources said.\n\nIn a post on X, Noreen confirmed that the party founder underwent an eye examination by doctors on Sunday and said “no major complications” have emerged so far.\n\n> \n\nElaborating on Sunday’s medical examination, Noreen said a slit lamp, an OCT scan machine and a fully equipped ambulance were brought to Adiala jail for the eye examination.\n\nDr Arif from the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) and Dr Nadeem Qureshi from Al-Shifa Trust Hospital conducted the examination within jail premises, said Imran’s sister.\n\n“Afterwards, they briefed senior doctors on their findings, including Dr Asim Yousuf and Dr Mirza, who joined via conference call. Barrister Gohar has also been kept informed of all developments.”\n\nNoreen said that doctors at Shifa International Hospital remain cautious. “They said that although it had earlier been stated that Imran Khan would be transferred to Shifa, he was not moved there.”\n\nGiving further details, the PTI founder’s sister said the medical facility’s retina specialists, including Dr Aamir Awan, remained on standby until late at night.\n\n“One dose of the Eylea injection has already been administered, while the second dose will be given on 25 February.”\n\nIn her social media post, Noreen added that according to experts, including Dr Khurram Mirza, a Vabysmo injection “may be stronger and more effective”.\n\n“This opinion has been conveyed to the CEO of PIMS and retina specialist Dr Nadeem Qureshi. However, for now, it has been decided to continue with Eylea, as positive results are being observed.”\n\nShe further revealed that the next step in Imran’s treatment is an angiogram, following which doctors will decide whether laser treatment is necessary.\n\n_More to follow_",
